About Me
Hi, I’m Brian Melekian, and I’ve spent the last 30 years leading from the front lines of professional sports. From boardrooms to finish lines, my career has been built on three non-negotiables: grit, work ethic, and integrity.
At 50, I started asking a new question: What’s next?
Not in a midlife-crisis way — but in a this-next-chapter-better-matter way.
I’ve raced in 3 Ironmans and 10 Half Ironmans, stood on podiums, and competed at national and world championships. I’ve also built a disciplined practice in stock and options trading — one that now funds my lifestyle and, more importantly, gives me freedom.
This site is where those worlds meet. It’s where I share what I’ve learned, what I’m testing, and where I’m going — physically, financially, and personally. If you’re someone who’s driven, maybe a little worn down by the grind, but still hungry for more… you’re in the right place.

📈 About the 1% Plan
Most people think wealth comes from a big break.
I believe it comes from 1% growth, week after week.
The 1% Plan is my personal trading strategy. It’s not complicated — and that’s the point. The goal is to earn a 1% return per week, and to treat that consistency as the foundation for a better life.
Here’s the 3 Phase Process:
- Build Capital – Steady weekly returns compound into a meaningful nest egg. The goal is to generate 1% per week and 2x your nest egg each year through a system of starting capital, smart budgeting, stock trading, basic options trading, advanced options trading and index trading.
- Enjoy the Extras – Profits above 1% pay for life’s “wants,” not just needs. Build out a budget that runs the gamut from extra savings to a new car and everything in between, broken down into weekly, bite-sized pieces.
- Get Paid Weekly – Every Friday, withdraw a set amount. That withdrawal becomes a sustainable, lifestyle-supporting paycheck.
This system works whether you’re a curious beginner, a frustrated veteran, or just someone who wants to stop relying on one paycheck forever. I teach it because it works — and because I believe more people should know there’s a better way.
💬 If you’re ready to trade with purpose, not just adrenaline — I’d love to show you how to get started.

🏊♂️ About My Triathlon Training
I’m not just racing toward finish lines — I’m redefining what they mean.
I’ve been a long-course triathlete for over a decade, and while I’ve had my moments at the front of the pack, these days I race to stay healthy, focused, and in the game. I’m managing a chronic back injury, navigating life at 50, and still chasing the high of a good training day.
I’m currently preparing for a Half Ironman in 2026, and documenting the journey along the way. As a former USA Triathlon Certified Coach, I share the tools, mindset shifts, and training tweaks that have helped me stay in the sport — even when life gets complicated.
If you’ve ever thought:
- I used to be an athlete — could I get back into it?
- Is it too late to start something big at my age?
- How do I balance training, career, and real life?
…then I think you’ll find value here. This isn’t about chasing perfection — it’s about chasing progress with joy.
